Trulieve: How One Florida Dispensary Helped Shape the State's Cannabis Industry

For many Florida medical marijuana patients, Trulieve was the first dispensary they ever visited. Long before medical cannabis became mainstream, Trulieve was helping shape Florida's regulated market. Today, patients across Sarasota, Bradenton and Tampa recognize the brand for its broad product selection, online ordering, rewards program and statewide footprint.

Since its founding in 2015, Trulieve has expanded from a Florida operator into one of the country's largest cannabis companies while maintaining a strong presence in Florida. The company invested heavily in cultivation, processing and retail locations, helping increase patient access throughout the state.

Florida's medical marijuana program has grown rapidly, and Trulieve grew alongside it by opening locations in major markets, educating new patients and building consistent retail experiences. For Gulf Coast patients, nearby stores have made access significantly easier than during the program's early years.

Inside the Trulieve Experience

A typical visit begins with patient check-in and verification, followed by assistance from knowledgeable staff. Trulieve offers online ordering, express pickup, delivery in many areas, and a wide selection of products including flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, vape cartridges, edibles, tinctures, capsules, topicals and accessories.

The company also operates several in-house brands such as Modern Flower, Roll One, Muse, Cultivar Collection, Momenta and Sweet Talk, giving patients options across different price points and preferences. Rewards, seasonal promotions and new-patient offers help many customers save throughout the year.

Florida Locations & Final Thoughts

Trulieve continues to be one of the most recognizable dispensary brands in Florida. Sarasota, Bradenton and the greater Tampa Bay region are served by multiple locations, allowing patients to compare inventory, promotions and convenience before visiting.

As Florida's cannabis market continues to evolve, patients benefit from more choices than ever. Comparing menus, checking daily promotions and researching nearby locations can help maximize value. Sarasota Source aims to make that process easier through local dispensary listings, daily deals, educational content and the Rolling Stoned editorial series.
